GVTC’s Annual Meeting is where members can learn more about the direction of the company, vote on director of the board positions and by-law changes. Eligible members can also pick up their capital credits disbursement check at the event. Over $10,000 in cash and prizes will be given away, including a 2003 F150 XLT extended cab truck.

The GVTC Foundation makes major
commitment to New Braunfels Food Bank |
 | The GVTC Foundation is contributing $100,000 to help the New Braunfels Food Bank get off to a strong start. The Food Bank is targeting summer of 2017 to open its new distribution center located at 1625 S. Seguin in New Braunfels. The approximately 30,000 square foot facility will serve as a hub to receive and distribute food to local food banks, provide food to walk-in customers through a client-choice pantry, and provide nutritional education and cooking instruction to families in need.

scholarship winners selected |
Two Hill Country area high school students are the recipients of $40,000 worth of scholarships from The GVTC Foundation. Zachary Albrecht, from Boerne Champion High School, won the Ritchie T. Sorrells Scholarship for Leaders and Alyssa Boggs, attending Smithson Valley High School, was selected for the Ola Armstrong scholarship. Both scholarships are worth $20,000 each. #0000137828-001-8

| Twice a good partner |
The largest school district in GVTC’s service area names The GVTC Foundation as its Business Partner of the year. According to a district spokesperson, our Foundation received the award for its contributions to Comal I.S.D.’s Community Education program. Our assistance is designated to provide scholarships for disadvantage children to attend education and activity camps the school district offers each summer.
