    “I was raised out in the country and spent a lot of time with my grandfather, working the ranch life -- fixing fences, working cattle and just enjoying being outside. I remember him taking me to morning mass every weekend. We’d go to the Spanish speaking mass…so speaking, listening to Spanish to me started at a young age – even though I’d consider Spanish my second language. My wife and I weren't able to have our own kids, but we have many nieces and nephews to enjoy spending time with. Community and family have always meant a lot to me. I have captained over 10 Emergency Response Teams (ERT) here at Lowe’s. We would travel from Texas all the way to Mississippi (or wherever our Lowe's family needed help) to recover after storms, floods, or weather events. I’ve also donated some of my time to help in our local communities to repair parks, homes for the elderly and women's centers. Lowe's has so much of offer to our community and that's one reason I love my job.     Selling is just the appetizer of the experience. As a true specialist, you know you have more work to do once the initial sale is made. You still must: 📦 Help the client navigate delivery. 🛠️ Explain how the product will be installed. 🚨 Assess potential damage issues or replacement parts. Being a sales specialist means that you are truly with the customer from the very start where you try to find the vision they want, to the very end when the final piece of hardware is installed. This whole process can take months, and over that time you get to know your customers extremely well.
