Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) clinical programs are supported by condition-specific medical and behavioral health clinical practice and preventive care guidelines.

These guidelines provide age- and gender-specific preventive care and condition-specific recommendations and are developed or adopted based on the most current evidence-based clinical practice recommendations. An annual review of literature is conducted to identify the most current publications from nationally recognized panels within organizations, which include, but are not limited to:
