Updated Preventive Services Fact Sheets Now Available

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires certain preventive services to be covered with no member cost-sharing. To assist in discussions around which services are considered preventive, we have updated the general fact sheet to create the following new resources:

• Preventive Services Fact Sheet for Employers
• Member Preventive Services Fact Sheet

Both fact sheets provide details about what types of services are considered preventive, including lists of covered screenings and vaccines. The employer version is essentially the general fact sheet, but has been updated with a new look and language that focuses more on the services than the regulations, since ACA is now “business as usual.”

The member version is shorter, and was written with more consumer-friendly language. The member version is available in both English and Spanish.

We will also be updating other Preventive Services fliers and will share those as soon as they are available.
