Online ACA Small Group Enrollment Tool (1-50) Enhancements Expedite Processing

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) is excited to announce that the enhanced online ACA Small Group Enrollment Tool is live. This new functionality will expedite the enrollment of new business. You can access this tool via Blue Access for Producers^SM (BAP^SM) within the eSales Tools. 

The ACA Small Group Enrollment Tool is a complete self-service platform for you to submit enrollment online to BCBSTX:

• Upload employer group paperwork, enter member data or upload the group’s membership with an enrollment spreadsheet
• Select plans, networks and rates
• Expedite the processing of your new group and send enrollment information directly to Underwriting for approval; enrollment time is compressed so members will be active with ID cards in hand earlier than ever
• No paperwork required when you submit via the enrollment tool
• Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) capabilities let you bypass binder check submissions

Training materials are available in the BAP Small Group Training & Admin section, including:

• Detailed User Guide
• Enrollment Overview Job Aid (reviews key steps you need to complete, with quick tips and hints)
• Enrollment Enhancements Job Aid (highlights the key changes to the online tool as of Aug. 26)
• Web-based Simulation with step-by-step instructions
• Southwest Service Center at 800-399-5831
• Upcoming Live Webinar on Sept. 15 (see details below) for new and existing users

The ACA Small Group Enrollment Tool is available to all general agents and appointed producers.

BCBSTX anticipates significant volume in fourth quarter of 2016, so you are strongly encouraged to enroll all of your new small groups with BCBSTX through the enrollment tool now. If you choose not to utilize this technology, BCBSTX can provide you a reference to a general agency, who will do the enrollment on your behalf.

NOTE: Beginning with January 2017 new business submissions,
producers will be required to utilize the online enrollment tool.
