Not Sure What Immunizations Your Family Needs? We Can Help Adults, teens and children need immunizations at certain times in their lives. The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma (BCBSOK) Wellness Guidelines can help you find out what immunizations you and your family need and when you need them. Starting a new school year is a great time to make sure your children and teens are up to date on their immunization schedule. Each state has its own immunization requirements. Most schools ask for a written shot record from a doctor before a child can start school. Not sure what immunizations children and teens need? Check out the Children’s Wellness Guidelines available on the BCBSOK website in English or Spanish. The children’s guidelines cover birth to age 18. The guidelines include information about immunizations, preventive screenings and other topics that parents should talk with their child’s doctor about during regular checkups. While you’re getting your children up to date, don’t forget that adults need immunizations, too. You can find adult immunization information in our Adult Wellness Guidelines in English and Spanish and more preventive care information on our website. |
