New BlueCare Dental Enhanced Benefit^SM Effective Jan. 1, 2018

Studies show that dental disease can cause complications for people with certain health issues, such as those who are pregnant, have heart disease or diabetes. Through BlueCare Dental Connection^SM, our dental wellness program, we are committed to promoting the health and wellness of our members.

Integration with our medical plans allows us to focus on a member’s overall health, potentially to reduce overall health care costs by lowering the incidence of more serious complications.

The new Enhanced Benefit complements our wellness program by providing coverage for those who require additional dental care due to high-risk medical conditions.

Enhanced Benefit includes:

• Extra cleanings (in addition to the two per year standardly offered)
• 100 percent coverage for periodontal cleanings (standardly covered at 80 percent or below)

The Enhanced Benefit will be a standard benefit for all group dental plans in 2018 – no additional cost or paperwork is needed. Review our new flier.
