2019 MAPD/PDP AHIP Certification Training Launches Next Week

Next week, producers can access the America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) training curriculum. This is Part 1 of the 2019 Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) and stand-alone Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) certification training that’s required to sell our MAPD/PDP policies.

In July, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana (BCBSMT) will launch Part 2 of the 2019 MAPD/PDP certification training. All individual producers and subproducers, including agency principals, must complete both Part 1 and Part 2 of the training. Agency principals will also be required to complete agency tasks in order for all subproducers to be deemed certified.

AHIP Fee Reduced for BCBSMT Producers
BCBSMT has negotiated with AHIP on a $125 fee for their certification training. That’s a savings of $50 off AHIP’s standard fee of $175. To take advantage of this savings, you will need to access AHIP’s training via a link that will be provided next week.

AHIP Log in, Course and Exam Information
When the AHIP training becomes available on June 18, be sure to have your National Producer Number (NPN) on hand to log in and register. Producers will need to complete the following courses, exam and attestation on AHIP’s training platform:

Medicare Basics
Rules and Regulations
Fraud, Waste and Abuse
Fraud, Waste and Abuse Exam
Non-Discrimination Disclosure
2019 Final Exam
2019 General Compliance Attestation
