Watch for New CVO Details to Reduce Credentialing Burdens
As of April 1, 2018, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) is using a Centralized Verification Organization (CVO) to reduce administrative barriers and costs to credentialing and recredentialing.
All Medicaid-contracted professional and facility* providers will begin receiving notifications from Aperture® (the CVO). This information will include initial credentialing events and details about the new common recredentialing date that will be assigned.
Notifications, presentations, facility applications, instructions, FAQs and a webinar about transitioning to a CVO are available on the following websites:
*Note: facility providers can submit the credentialing application through Availity®. An Availity portal demonstration for providers is available.
