Blue Access for EmployersSM Tip: Canceling a Dependent and Deleting Open Transactions

Did you know you can delete open transactions on Blue Access for Employers (BAE)? Also, the Cancelation function in BAE lets you easily cancel a dependent without cancelling the entire family/policy.

How to cancel a dependent:

  1. On the BAE home page, select the Cancel Employee / Dependent option from the “I want to” drop-down menu.
  2. Select the Dependent radio button.
  3. Enter the employee’s or dependent’s Social Security number / ID number or last name.
  4. Click the Find button.
  5. Click the employee’s or dependent’s name in the Search Results table to be taken to the Cancel Employee / Dependent screen.
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  7. When done, click the Submit button.

TIP: Enter the cancel date as the first day without coverage, unless otherwise specified in the membership guidelines.

How to delete an open transaction:
If you’ve started a transaction that you no longer want to complete, you will be able to delete the transaction. Follow these steps to delete the transaction:

  1. Log into BAE.
  2. From the home page, click on the View All button in the Recent Activity section.
  3. Search for the transaction by Date, SSN/ID Number, User or Status.
  4. Click on the Delete link in the Delete Activity column.
