Drug Formulary Changes

The prescription drug formulary is updated quarterly for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma and BlueLincs HMOSM members with a three-tier drug plan. The most up-to-date and complete formulary listing is on the prescription drug information page for members at bcbsok.com.

What does the tiered formulary mean to members?

  • Tier I—(generic) gives the lowest cost to members.
  • Tier II—(preferred brand name) calls for a somewhat higher cost to members.
  • Tier III—(brand name) typically calls for the highest cost to members.

The following changes will be made to the formulary effective April 1, 2011:
